Tarvaris Jackson’s days playing in the NFL might be a thing of the past, if they weren’t already. The free agent quarterback was recently arrested after he pulled a loaded gun out on his wife and threatened to kill her. According to Chris Hush of WESH, Jackson was intoxicated during the incident, which occurred while visiting family in Kissimmee, FL. When the confrontation between the couple arose, their children we’re asleep and fortunately, a witness that was on the scene allegedly grabbed Jackson to stop him from firing.
Reports also claim that upon pointing the gun at his wife, she replied with “You better be accurate because you ain’t accurate on the field,” while also grabbing a kitchen knife and iron to protect herself. The 33-year-old Jackson spent most of his nine season in the NFL playing for the Minnesota Vikings, but also had stints with the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks, for him he last played for.
