Lone Survivor filmmaker Peter Berg is joining forces with Rihanna to create a theatrical feature documentary about the young singer’s life. Following the likes of Beyonce and Katy Perry, the documentary represents an “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she ascended to become a global icon,” according to Deadline.

The director hopes to take on the 1967 Bob Dylan rock doc Dont Look Back by Peenebaker. Berg, who has know Rihanna since he gave her the role in his movie Battleship said he “liked the idea of examining a young artist at the top of her professional field.” He also explained the project is “much more a character study than a music film.”

Although the title of the Rihanna documentary has not been revealed, Rihanna will most likely have some serious input in naming the documentary, which could possibly tie in with a new project when it is released.

The Bajan beauty, who is currently on a world tour, recently revealed a Fenty beauty line is coming soon after she scored a $10 million deal to launch her own beauty line. As Rihanna expands her brand beyond music, it’s the perfect time for a Rihanna documentary.
