“You guys remind me of my shoe closet! I got one Penny and a bunch of loafers!” ~ Lil Penny

The world first caught a glimpse of the “Shooting Stars” back in 2012 on the feet of Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway during the Celebrity All-Star Game. However, despite being an amazing concept executed, they were completely overshadowed by the “Galaxy.”

More recently, word has been released regarding the future of the “Shooting Stars.” In fact, they’re not alone. They’re set to drop along with (arguably) Nike’s most famous mascot, Lil Penny‘s very own “Lil Penny Posite.”

The Foamposites have an icy sole with an all-white upper while the forefoot and inner, including the laces, are blue. A black border hosts royal blue stars reminiscent of the Orlando Magic jersey Penny wore back in the day.

The Lil Penny Posite serves as a sequel to the Nike Air 1/2 Cent. However, this time, they fuse elements of the Nike Zoom Rookie and Nike Air Up while adding reflective Posite cues. And if it’s comfort you need, you’ve found it. Full-length zoom air is the tech in the sole. Check out the detailed pics below.
