Taylor Swift isn’t quite over the circumstances that surrounded her and Kanye West back in 2009, where West interrupted her VMA speech for Best Female Video, with praises for Beyonce.

After the nominations for the VMAs came in today, Taylor Swift learned that she was nominated for two awards: Best Female Video and Video of the Year for the song, “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

Swift took to Twitter where she expressed her excitement, but also made a dig towards Kanye West.

“Two VMA nominations!! If you vote and get us one, I promise to keep a firmer grip on the mic this time ;)” she tweeted to her 30 million plus followes.

The 23-year-old country star is known to take shots at those who have done her wrong in the past, including boyfriends Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner.

The VMAs will take place in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on August 25.
