Louisiana State University student/athlete Lewis Neal is a force both on and off the football field. While many people struggle to balance academics and athletics simultaneously, Neal goes above and beyond that.
Neal has developed his own smart-phone app, he’s started his own investment company, and he co-owns “Hair Factory,” a hair salon that offers free haircuts to all military members, first responders, fire fighters, as well as police officers.
Following the death of three police officers in a nearby town, the LSU lineman and co-owner Joan Campbell decided to open this small business as a way to give back to the community.
“I just wanted to do something positive for the community, just give back and show our appreciation,” Neal said. “We want to have some positive things going around. There’s so much negativity going around. You need some positive things going viral.”
Neal will continue to build his brand(s) as he continues his academic career both on and off the field; something that shows who he is as an individual, aside from just a football player.
