Hot 97’s Summer Jam is a yearly tradition for Hip Hop fans and despite this year’s chaos, the show went ahead last night [Sunday, June 5] as best as the organizers could possibly muster.

The festival got off to a late start after inclement weather caused the show to be postponed until shortly after 9:30pm. Some of the headliners came out to perform including Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music, ASAP Rocky and ASAP Ferg, and Fat Joe and The Terror Squad. DJ Khaled made an appearance and brought out artists like Movado, Busta Rhymes, Ty Dolla Sign and Yo Gotti.

Shortly after The Terror Squad’s performance, Summer Jam turned to mayhem as a fight broke out in the floor section and chairs began flying. Many fans tried to escape the area while others stuck around to watch. Funk Master Flex tried to continue the show, but the chaos along with authoritative command caused the show to end at around 1:30am.

Future did not get the chance to perform last night along with many other artists. He took to Snapchat to express his frustrations saying, “This s**t is some bulls**t.”
