Interestingly enough, few marquee artists have taken a stab at Drake‘s “Hotline Bling,” which is strange considering it was the most popular song of the summer last year, and it’s an incredibly catchy tune. Well, never mind that, now that Miguel has taken it upon himself to perform his own rendition of the song, alongside Arcade Fire‘s Win Butler, at Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival in Florida, one of the early festivals of what will be a maddening festival season in just a few short weeks.

After some playful banter with an engaging crowd, the “Waves” singer finally broke into his version of “Hotline Bling,” which sounded rather seamless, especially with Butler’s backing. You can watch the full performance here at Miguel’s Periscope, and do remember that h’ll be performing at New York City’s Governors Ball Festival this June where, if we’re lucky, he’ll perform this cut for the masses.
