Although Monday is typically the most dreaded day of the week for numerous reasons, today’s one to be celebrated because it’s National Margarita Day.

Today is the perfect day to round up your friends and discuss the Monday blues over the refreshing tequila-based cocktail. Plenty of restaurants will be offering specials, but if you want to skip the line and enjoy a nice Margarita at home, we have you covered. Take a look below at five tasty Margarita Monday recipes to take you into an amazing Taco Tuesday.

  1. Pomegranate Margarita Pom
    • 1/4 cup pomegranate juice, store bought is fine, plus seeds for garnish
    • 1/3 cup Tequila Blanco (about 4 ounces)
    • 1/8 cup Triple Sec (about 1-ounce)
    • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 ounces)
    • 12 ounces ice cubes
    • Margarita salt, optional
    • Combine all ingredients, except salt, in a blender and pulse until frothy and well combined. Rim glasses with lime juice using a lime wedge then dip in margarita salt, drop some fresh pomegranate seeds in the bottom of the glass and pour margarita mix over the top.
  2. Pineapple Margarita  
    • 2 cups lime juice
    • 2 cups white tequila
    • 2 cups Cointreau
    • 2 1/2 cups fresh pineapple juice
    •  Fresh Pineapple Slices
    • Fill a shaker halfway with ice and pour in all the ingredients except the pineapple slice garnish. Shake for about half a minute and pour into eight glasses. Garnish with pineapple slices and serve.

  4. Cherry Margarita Cherry
    • cup frozen pitted tart cherries (or may use drained canned pitted pie cherries, frozen after draining)
    • 1 1fluid ounces mix to tequila (or whichever type of tequila you prefer)
    • 2 fluid ounces cherry juice or 2 fluid ounces cherry syrup
    • 1 fluid ounce fresh lime juice
    • 1 fluid ounce triple sec or 1 fluid ounce Cointreau liqueur
    • 2 cups ice (more or less to achieve consistency)
    • 1 stemmed maraschino cherry, to garnish (optional)
      1. Place liquid ingredients in the bottom of your blender (do not add ice first or you will jam the blades).
      2. Add ice.
      3. Puree until ice is smooth and margarita is thick and creamy, adding ice to achieve consistency if necessary.
      4. Pour into a frosted margarita glass, garnish with maraschino cherry, and enjoy!
  5. The Cadillac Margarita
    • 1 1/2 ounces premium tequila
    • 1 ounce Grand Marnier orange liqueur
    • 3/4 ounce lime juice
    • Salt for rimming
      1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
      2. Shake well.
      3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass rimmed with salt.
