Now that the NBA trade deadline has concluded, The Los Angeles Clippers have agreed to send guard Lance Stephenson to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Jeff Green, according to Dan Woike of the Orange County Register. The Grizzlies will also receive a future first-round pick from the Clippers, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein. What a good exchange for the Clippers side not so much for the Grizzlies. Stephenson has had a struggle in the NBA ever since he switched sides and left the Indiana Pacers.

Stephenson was averaging 4.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 rebounds per game in his first season with Los Angeles. He was acquired from the Charlotte Hornets this summer in exchange for Spencer Hawes and Matt Barnes. Stephenson has not been able to duplicate the two-way brilliant season that turned him into a near-All-Star in Indiana.

Stephenson played 15.8 minutes per night under Doc Rivers, his lowest average since 2011-12, and lost his starting job after only nine games.
