Despite being convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison, former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez remained mostly positive in his communication with fans and inquiring minds that sent him letters and notes during his incarceration. In a letter sent just over 2 years ago, Hernandez admitted to “not stressing one bit,” and in other correspondence, his attitude appeared to be on the up-and-up, despite the lengthy time behind bars that laid ahead of him.
Since then–understandably–it looks like Hernandez’s attitude has soured a bit. In a new letter, acquired by TMZ Sports, Hernandez replied to a woman critical of his behavior with a startling set of suicide suggestions, and what could be construed as a veiled threat. You can read the full letter here, but in summation, Hernandez suggested the woman either hang herself, drown herself, or blow herself up using “the most powerful firecrackers” in the world. He went on to pledge his loyalty to Tom Brady and the Patriots, his lack thereof for Pats owner Robert Kraft, and chastised the woman who wrote him the letter–Rachel–for giving him her address.
It looks like Hernandez’s “honeymoon” period with prison has come to an end.
