Washington D.C. femcee Kelow is back with her first project in three years, titled Amethyst Stoner. It’s an ear-catching blend of hip-hop and go-go music, which marries with Kelow’s gentle, yet recognizable voice and lyrics well. Amethyst is actually her birthstone, which she found an inexplicable connection to, and really holds a deeper meaning with this project, which she explains on the first track.

“I am the only one who can hurt me I’ve been overindulging in the activity of such. But with that I’m the only one who can heal me. I give all glory to the creator always I’ve become aware and awoken. I’ve come far but there is still much further to go, for the battle is still at hand. I am healing and I know I illustrate that with Amethyst Stoner,” explains Kelow.

The release of this project also comes paired with the trippy video for the project’s median track, “Jigglypuff,” which was directed by Xaivia Inniss of 8th Creation Films. Check out the project and the joint video release below!
