I once addressed him as a Camden, NJ emcee but evidently, rapping isn’t the only thing Apollo Ali is capable of.

On his most recent single, “Gravity”, Apollo harmonizes moving rhymes with respect to the hustle, struggle, and predominantly relating to the ghetto.  Speaking on feeling stagnant and held down by circumstances in the hood, he dedicates this song particularly to his hometown.

I’m sure this record is special to Apollo, considering how personal it is.  I’ve probably said this a million times in a million ways, but the best music is based on realism when penned from absolute feeling.

With that said, give the record a listen above and tell us your thoughts on it.

Pre order the album, Contradiction, on itunes, which features August Alsina, Jadakiss, Sean Price, Dave East and more.
