It’s time to unleash your inner pitch

Pitch Perfect 2 follows the hugely successful Pitch Perfect.  Starring the extremely talented Anna Kendrick as Beca Mitchell, the lead a cappella singer of the group The Barden Bellas.  The film starts off with the group taking the stage after three whole years of winning the national a cappella competition, being the joy and pride of American a cappella.  However, during their performance, Fat Amy, played by Rebel Wilson, has a wardrobe malfunction causing the Bellas to retract their status as a professional a cappella group and fight for their survival as reigning champions.  With that in mind, a German group known as Das Sound Machine takes their spot on the national tour and it is then that the Bellas discover their new rivals and the people that they need to beat in order to redeem themselves in the a cappella community; a community that is obviously very unforgiving.

Pitch Perfect 2 is a fun filled, humorous, and somewhat intense comedy.  The characters are extremely funny and hard to not love.  It was the subtle jokes that really made this movie stand out from all the other comedy movies that are out now.  Many of these jokes will make you laugh out loud, even the semi corny jokes.  And all of these talented actors sell their roles perfectly.  Throughout the movie, there isn’t a blank space where some type of joke isn’t made and for that, Pitch Perfect 2 is a great comedy movie that everyone, whether you are an a cappella fan or not, should check out.  Pitch Perfect 2 hits theaters on May 15, 2015.
