America’s Next Top Model contestant Mirjana Puhar, 19, and her boyfriend found murdered in drug-related triple homicide in North Carolina
Mirjana Puhar, a contestant in America’s Next Top Model last year, was found dead on Tuesday afternoon. The other two victims of the triple homicide were Puhar’s boyfriend, 23, and a friend, 21. Puhar, who moved to the U.S. from Serbia as a child, was just 18 when she appeared in the reality series but was eliminated on the 10th show.
Emmanuel Jesus Rangel, 19, has been arrested in connection with the deaths and in another murder, which took place on Sunday. Police say they believe the murders were drug-related and that the suspect knew his victims.
Mirjana Puhar, her boyfriend Jonathan Cosme Alvarado, and friend, Jusmar Isiah Gonzaga-Garcia, were all found shot in a Charlotte, North Carolina residence. Puhar is said to have recently moved in with her boyfriend three months ago. According to TMZ, a close source to Mirjana confirmed that she was one of the 3 victims found dead in the home that belonged to Mirjana’s boyfriend Jonathan. The TMZ source also says, a friend of the couple was called to the house after gunshots were heard; the bodies were then discovered and police alerted.
