After splitting the games in Indiana against the Pacers, the Atlanta Hawks traveled home to play Games 3 and 4. After winning Game 2, the Pacers came into Atlanta with a new found swagger. The #1 seed Pacers were upset again in Game 3 by the #8 seed Hawks. After silencing some of the critics with their performance in Game 2, the Pacers are likely to feel all the judgement and criticism after their performance on Thursday night. After only scoring 7 points in Game 3, Lance Stephenson, stepped up for the Pacers, leading the team with 21 points.
Similar to Game 1, Jeff Teague was the top performer for the Atlanta Hawks. Teague scored 22 points and recorded 10 assists in the home victory. Teague also drained a 3 point shot after stepping out of bounds during the play. The play was reviewed, but the referees declared that the shot was good. Paul Millsap also had a great night, finishing with 14 points and 14 rebounds to help the Hawks win 98 – 85.
Look for the Pacers to bounce back like a true #1 seed would in the next segment of the seven game sereies. You can catch Game 4 on Saturday afternoon at 2 PM on TNT.
