The film directed and written by Ferrera’s husband Ryan Piers Williams and starring both of them tells the story of four friends living in New York. Sylvia and Jake are each caught in an emotionally arrested state of being and their individual attempts to escape it explores the murky web of communication and the stark detours we take to avoid confronting our own vulnerabilities.
America, who turned 30 on Friday, looked fab in a blue top and white pencil skirt. Melonie looked chic in black slacks and black shear top. The party continued at Parlor, Heineken hosted the film’s Official After-Party, bringing together the film’s cast – including America Ferrera, Ryan Piers Williams, Jon Paul Phillips, Dree Hemingway and Melanie Diaz – to celebrate the premiere of the film.
